Adams County Emergency Services, Pennsylvania, has entered into contract

Alert Public Safety Solutions (Alert PSS) is pleased to announce that Adams County Emergency Services, Pennsylvania, has entered into contract for Responder™ Computer Aided Dispatch, AlertMap™, Phase II Integrated mapping, and APSSSentinel™, Mobile Dispatch.
Adams County Director of Emergency Services John Eline said "the current system has been in place since 1999, and is no longer supported by the technicians who installed it".
The new CAD system will be a significant upgrade, he said. In addition to displaying a 911 caller's name, phone number and address, dispatchers will also be able to see information, such as some medical history. If a resident is on oxygen, or has a history of heart attacks, the information could show up on a display to be relayed to emergency responders, Eline said.
When police are responding to a home that has a history of problems such as domestic violence, the system will alert officers so they know what they could expect when they arrive.
Additionally, the new system will be able to pull up maps, aerial photography and even building schematics to help responders, and can keep track of road closures, receive text messages and be an overall improvement for responders, Eline said.
"Adams County Emergency Services was looking for a reliable company capable of taking their Communication Center to the next level by offering advanced technologies.
